Everything has a sheen, whether an absorbing sheen, like the silk carpets, or a reflecting sheen. It's really at night that this apartment is at its most glamorous.

Watson helped his client draw from previous houses for her new apartment. The living room coffee table, from Nancy Corzine, was in her SoHo loft; column lamps and silver candelabra on the 1940s French steel and rosewood sideboard were in her New Jersey house. The Jean-Michel Frank–inspired sofa is from Holly Hunt. A 1950s Murano glass chandelier from John Salibello hangs over a 19th-century Italian walnut dining table and contemporary Art Deco–style dining chairs. Judy Mulligan did the Venetian plaster walls.

"The bedroom is so glamorous...It's a mix of styles--a French Art Deco table, Hollywood Regency-style mirror, headboard, and bedside table, English club chairs, Venetian pillows. How I pulled it all together is by unifying the color palette--keeping it soft--and using similar textures. It's all rich silks, rich velvets, plush carpet. The owner is glamorous and this room--the whole apartment--is a reflection of her." -- Marshall Watson, Interior Designer

Easy Luxury in a White Bedroom
Textures and finishes add richness to a plain modern shell. In the master bedroom, walls are treated with a mottled glaze that has a pearlescent finish. The white Garboesque headboard and bedside table, white gold lamps, and silvery armoire are from Nancy Corzine; brown and white pillow is from McGuire Furniture.
